reference tags[]

It's really good that someone knows the first mention of Svartalf is in Dead Beat, but it's a big book. Not putting a reference tag puts the work on someone else's shoulders. I've spent hours and hours of my time looking up stuff because there is no reference tags.

The reason I started coming to to this Wiki in the first place is that I couldn't always remember what or who something or someone was. And, I had no idea where to look. Even if I could remember the book I would have no idea where to look in it. By the time a reader gets to book 5, 6, 7 and so on, all the details of previous get very muddy and confusing.

References are extremely helpful.

And easy. All you have to do is copy any other reference, paste it and change the book title, and book number and chapter numbers (in two places).

Here is the one for Dead Beat (for chapter one):

[1]

  • Place your pointer over the tag and then drag the cursor over the tag in the box that pops up, then copy. Or, go to Source Mode and copy it there. (for future reference)
  • Or, here: [1]
  • Just change the chapter numbers to match the entry for Svartalf.
  • The ideal thing to do is to make a note in the sections: "In the Series" with a reference tag.

That is exactly the purpose of that section—to help people recall what happened relating to that character, things, place, creature, event, etc. and most importantly… WHERE TO FIND IT IN WHICH BOOK, IN WHICH CHAPTER, IN THE SERIES.

To everyone: Please do your own work and not make someone else do it.
