She was a player of Evernight, a vampire LARP, and played a vampire character with the in-game name "Ennui".^[1]

In the short story "It’s My Birthday, Too", Ennui took part in the LARP event at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois on Valentine's Day, which was attacked by a group of Black Court vampires.^[1]
